Information used by the estimator
Project plans and settings are stored locally in the browser unless a user submits a quote request. Map address searches are sent to the configured map provider. Project media remains local until the user requests quotes and uploads it.
Quote requests and contractor sharing
When a user requests quotes, Property Improvement Estimator collects the submitted contact information, property address, project plan, estimate summary, consent record, and selected media. The request may be shared with the number of participating companies disclosed in the consent text.
Reviews and testimonials
If a user submits a review, Property Improvement Estimator stores the submitted email and consent record privately for moderation. Approved public testimonials may display only the chosen display name, project type, optional city or state, optional rating, and approved review text. Users may contact Property Improvement Estimator to request removal of a published testimonial.
Analytics and security
Optional analytics load only after consent and must not receive names, addresses, coordinates, phone numbers, email addresses, or project media. Security and abuse-prevention systems may process IP address, device, and request information.
Retention and choices
Planned retention is 24 months for closed lead contact data and media, account lifetime plus one year for verification documents, and seven years for financial and audit records. Contact Property Improvement Estimator to submit a privacy question or request, subject to legal retention duties.
Planning limitation
Property Improvement Estimator does not replace a survey, utility locate, permit review, engineering advice, product instructions, site inspection, or contractor proposal.
